September 13th (Afternoon)

It was a good ride home on Corrie’s bike. Her bike has done really well for being 15 years old! I’d say if Corrie wants to keep the bike and starts riding quite a bit, the only thing I would do would be probably an upgraded fork and wider handlebars. Other than that, the ride was good! I still felt pretty tired, so I think being a bit more “squished” than normal did play a part in feeling that way. The seat wasn’t high enough (couldn’t go much higher), so I never was able to extend my legs, and I kept trying to push myself off of the back of the seat to get a better stretch. However, it rode well and I took it on all of the same trails I take my bike (even the new gulley trails).

It was the perfect temperature, with very little sun (mostly cloud cover), and even a bit of rain/drizzle here and there. Peterson’s Creek was quite high, actually. Still a small creek by any standard, but pretty full for what it normally is.

Anyways, with no computer I have no idea if the time was good, if I had any good speeds, or whatever. But it was still fun!

I picked up my wheel from Taboo after I got home. They have now replaced ALL of the original spokes on the drive side of the rear wheel, and this time they didn’t even charge for it. They said if any of them broke again, that they will be sending the whole wheel back to Cannondale for a replacement! Hopefully that doesn’t happen, but at least I can be assured that if this isn’t the end of the broken spokes, it soon will be!
